One series I'd like to do on this blog is a monthly look-back on the models I've received. I have a bit of a goldfish brain and I can be rather forgetful on what I buy, so I'd like to have a retrospective at the end of the month. This first post may not be all that accurate, as aforementioned goldfish brain means I don't quite remember everything that arrived last month ๐
That being said, this monthly round-up will cover horses that arrive in the month it covers, not ones I paid for necessarily.

Glossy Rheverance+ and Glossy Josie
My first arrivals in January had been purchased long in advance. The glossy BreyerFest 2021 Limited Editions were offered for pre-order during the event last July. Glossy Apollo wasn't my cup of tea, but I conga Ashquar so Rheverence+ was a must and I loved the way the gloss made Josie's color pop. I hope they offer this year's Limited Editions in gloss again. ๐คค I also love Breyer's current trend of pre-orders and backorders for in-demand limited editions. It's a great step toward accessibility in the hobby.

Aren't they just gorgeous?

L-R: Roo, Dahlia, Spirit of Hallows Eve, Jack
My next arrivals all showed up around the same time, though none came from the same seller! Roo was my Christmas gift to myself. I ended up buying him for the top end of my budget for these Collector Event stablemates, but he's personally one of my favorites they've made. The chestnut Dahlia was a must have as I conga the mini Croi mold (but not the traditional Croi at this time). The Halloween stablemates complete the 2021 Halloween blind bag set for me - Breyer decided to release their holiday blind bags at poor times financially for me so I've had to track them down secondhand, preferably without paying too much of a markup.

Rachel Alexandra, Lancelot, and a mustang Stablemate
My next purchases came from my friend Sarah! She often sends her sales posts to our friends before posting publically, and I snagged the Rachel Alexandra and the Lancelot. Rachel has been a long time want of mine but the price was never right, and Lancelot is just a cutie. The Mustang stablemate was packed in with my Christmas gift. ๐

L-R: Sweet Confession, Heartland Equality, Show Pony
Last year around BreyerFest, I picked up an Excalibur secondhand. I wasn't really a fan of the Hackney mold, but I had always liked that particular model. Jokes on me, turns out I really liked the Hackney mold once I had it in hand. I've been casually picking them up at cheap prices since then (I will post a picture of the conga at some point!). These three came from the same seller, and I naturally took the opportunity to recreate one of my favorite pictures of Taylor Swift upon receiving them.

Cardinal, first Web Special of 2022
My final January addition was Cardinal! I wasn't drawn on my account, but one of my friends had entered for me and was drawn on hers. I conga Shannondell, so he was a must need. So far he's the only one from the Birds of a Feather series I've needed (though I wouldn't say no to a Crane!), though the whole series so far is so lovely and well-done.

The full squad. You can really see how the gloss makes Josie's color pop!
On a whole, it was a great month for ponies!
